President Muhammadu Buhari is well and alive, the presidency said late on Saturday after a news website published a story that the Nigerian leader has passed away in London.

Metro-uk.com, which can be confused for the more recognised metro.co.uk, ascribed the source of its story to unnamed officials of the Nigerian High Commission in London and a presidential aide who claimed Buhari died of an “unknown disease”.

But the presidency insisted all is well with the 74-year old Nigerian leader.

“Best wishes to all who wish PMB well. As for those who carry evil rumours, may they receive grace to repent,” tweeted Femi Adesina, Buhari’s media adviser.

“He is alive and well! President Buhari is not magical. He cannot be holidaying in the UK and be in Germany, dead or alive at the same time,” said another presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu.

Buhari left Nigeria on Thursday for London to “undergo routine medical check-ups” during a short holiday and was expected to resume work on February 6. In his absence, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo would act as as president.

His current visit would make it the second time in less than a year he has gone to Britain for medical treatment.

The president visited London in June 2016 for treatment to what the presidency described as a persistent inner ear infection, which caused him to pull out of several scheduled engagements.

Is this another OBJ initiative like Yardua – MEND Goodluck. Well that can be understandable, but were is the political manoeuvre for possible repeat of this scenario (Allah Yaisa), is it to preserve Ehingbeti Lagos, i.e. not a Federal Mayorial City or New York in political structure. Hm! This maradona programming waoh. It is to the best interest of this country that Buhari does not pass away before the next election. Shikena.

And where will the common man go for health check-up?

Shame on them for always having to travel out of the country even for checkups. The country has enough qualified manpower but without facilities. Yet they talk about saving scarce FOREX!? How many other presidents do medical tourism like them? Shame!

Buhari and his Federal Govt are shameless. Where is Buhari’s leadership of the nation’s health sector?
Why can’t he get medicare in the super hospitals he built for his citizens…rumor or no rumor i wish him health. Even if Buhari were to die in London or German hospital, he would not be the first. African leaders are a disgrace.

I think in the best interest of the country, it is better for the President to address the nation to cast out all doubt about his demise. It can be done via phone or NTA international London. It is completely wrong for the president’s aid to continue to reassure the over 180 million Nigerians in the affirmative.

It is hugely embarrassing if indeed, if Buhari has come here to the UK for hospital treatment. Seriously, the medical bill will be enough to set up a state-of-the-art clinic anywhere in Nigeria for his treatment, which will be no better than what he would have been here to receive. Our leaders continue to act like ignorant monkeys. The bring their ailing bodies to the whiteman’s clinic because they don’t have any confidence in their own people. Guess what? He may find that the expert doctor that will treat him here in the UK could be either an Indian or a Nigerian. The fee to the Nigerian treasury will be no less extortionate.
I contend that these hopeless Africans should chose home care and accept the will of the ancestors, good or bad as no one can live forever and you cannot keep running off to oyimbo land for fruitless treatment s at the expense of the impoverished natives. Now I see why those stupid biafran mob are celebrating Trump’s inauguration as trump will not allow these African thieves to use the US for silly stunts such as these.

As I already said, while Republic Of Biafra celebrate those that paid the worthwhile price, and take best cares of their families, no one will remember them who died like cowards in this BIAFRAN REVOLUTION WAR (BRW) or their families, their leader Buhari is an example, so will any of them who stand on the way of Republic Of Biafra now in existence.
